It’s been over a week since we have moved into our new place, but we are still trying to ‘settle in’. I thought that I’ll feel comfortable in our new home as soon as we have unpacked everything, but I am realising this part takes time. For the first week, everything felt temporary & a little detached…like how you feel when you stay at a hotel, or an AirBnB. Learning the little things about our new home- like the way the floor creaks at night (thank God it doesn’t), anticipating the squeak from the door/knob hinge, the way the morning light fills up a room, and the feeling you get when you walk through the front door, does need some getting used to. With the last few of our furnitures arriving & final finishing touches, there is a shift in both perception & comfort. Hopefully, we will eventually find that homey feeling we were yearning for. Teddy & M in their new homeCooking us somethingOur lavender plants out front. This is its first bloom! I’m mindblown cuz I never grew plants before ha! We finally received our custom bed! From Rockmelon- mispelt though…
